Food and Beverage
Shere’s Food and Beverage self service system was developed as a result of their extensive experience in the hospitality sector combined with their high volume of touch screen applications. The first of their products in this range is a touch screen table ordering system that will enable diners to order food and drinks as and when they are ready and to add top-up orders without the need to attract the attention of waiting staff.
The self service systems address a number of core business issues that restaurant operators face:
- Cost of operation is always a key focus for any high street retailer.
- Labour/Staffing – there are often time and attendance issues and consequently, planning staff rotas for peak times is problematic.
- Fraud or shrinkage – fraud and theft are a significant cost.
- Order Accuracy – the placing of inaccurate orders leads to customer dissatisfaction, food waste and longer waiting times whilst the order is being corrected.
- Upsell – when order-taking staff are under pressure from long queues, there is a tendency to bypass the upsell process which incurs a substantial opportunity cost.
- Queues – visible queues mean that potential customers walk away to other QSR outlets.
