Successful Replacement Programme for Virgin Trains
On 26th November Shere completed an ambitious programme to replace Virgin Trains' existing Tribute desktop ticketing system with Shere's SmartTM systems.
The work involved the installation, testing and connecting of 115 Shere SmartTM System terminals without interrupting Virgin's existing system - and all in the space of just two months!
In fact Shere completed the programme in under two months and during this period they also provided training and post-installation support for Virgin's staff.
Matt Griffiths, Virgin's Strategic IT Projects Manager said after the completion, "the Shere team have achieved through their hard work and professionalism something that they had every right to regard as impossible in the timescales we set them. We look forward to working with Shere in 2010 on other projects."
