About SHERE
Shere designs, builds, installs and maintains self service and desktop ticketing and fulfilment systems. Since its founding in 1992, Shere has developed a unique and proprietary core system framework which supports three front end applications: SMART™ is the rail desk top ticket and reservation application, FAST™ is the self service kiosk application for rail, and Express Reception™ is the self service kiosk application for hotels. Each application is adapted to suit the precise requirements of the customer.
In order to deliver the Company’s vision and to maintain such high levels of service Shere has always kept in-house the key functions that deliver added value for the customer:
- Evaluating the opportunity for customers considering the introduction of self service. Shere has unrivalled experience in identifying services which can benefit from self service technology.
- Designing and testing bespoke systems and kiosk hardware. Shere has 18 software specialists based at its Aylesbury office site and an in-house dedicated kiosk design team.
- Project management of the software and hardware build and also installation. Shere has four qualified and experienced project managers.
- Assembling the software and hardware. A team of assemblers work in a 5,000 square foot assembly hall at the Guildford site.
- Installing the systems at customer sites. Shere has a team of 23 expert support engineers.
- Supporting and maintaining the installations. Shere operates a help desk for its customers and the engineering team are on call throughout the UK.
